3 easy jokes to develop baby's brain

Play encourages child development and is an excellent strategy for parents to adopt on a daily basis because they create a greater affective bond with the child and improve the child's motor and intellectual development.

Exercises can be very simple as hide-and-seek, but are very useful because the child's brain allowing the creation of new brain connections, which are fundamental in the learning process. Some exercises that help develop the baby's brain are:

1- Play with the body

The play with the body can be done as follows:

• Pick up the baby's hand;
• Place the baby's hand on the body part while saying what he is touching;
• Invert the game and touch the baby as you say the part of the body that is playing.

Between six and nine months babies need tactile experiences to "grow" the brain and develop both the brain and the body.

2-Hiding

To play hide-and-seek with your baby and develop your brain should:

• Hold a toy that baby likes in front of him;
• Hide the toy;
• Encourage the baby to look for the toy by asking questions such as "Where is the toy? Is it in the sky?" and then look up, to the sky or "Or is it on the ground?" and look at the floor;
• Ask "Is the toy in my hands?" and answer, "Yes, it is here."

As the baby develops, it goes looking for the toy as soon as it is hidden, so this play is a great exercise to stimulate the baby's brain.

3- Play with pan lid

The play with the lid of the pan can be made as follows:

• Put the pan lid on the floor, face down, with a toy hidden underneath it;
• Say "One, two, three, magic" and take the lid off the top of the toy;
• Hide the toy again and help the baby lift the lid, repeating again "One, two, three, magic".

This exercise also stimulates the development of the baby, but should only be done from 6 months of age.
