What is it for
Folic Noripurum is indicated in the following situations:
- Anemia due to deficiency in iron or folic acid;
- Prevention and treatment of pregnancy, postpartum and breast-feeding anemia due to deficiency in iron and folic acid;
- Severe, post-haemorrhagic, gastric and post-operative resections;
- Preoperative of anemic patients;
- Essential hypochromic anemia, alkyl chloroanemia, qualitative and quantitative food anemias;

How to take
The dose and duration of therapy depend on the severity of the iron deficiency and the person's age and may be given at once or divided into separate doses during or immediately after meals:
- Children from 1 to 5 years old
The usual dose is half a chewable tablet per day.
- Children from 5 to 12 years old
The usual dose is one chewable tablet a day.
- Adults and adolescents
In cases of iron deficiency manifested, the usual dose is one chewable tablet 2 to 3 times daily until hemoglobin values are normal. After the values normalize, in cases of anemia in pregnancy one should take 1 chewable tablet per day at least until the end of pregnancy, and in other cases, for another 2 to 3 months. In cases of prevention of iron deficiency and folic acid, the usual dose is one chewable tablet per day.
Possible side effects
Although rare, adverse reactions may occur with folic Noripurum, such as abdominal pain, constipation, nausea, stomach pain, poor digestion, and vomiting. Less commonly, generalized itching, reddening of the skin, rash, and urticaria may occur.
Who should not take
Folic Noripurum is contraindicated in cases of allergy to iron salts, folic acid or any of the other ingredients. In addition, it should also not be used in all non-ferropenic anemias or in cases of chronic diarrhea and swelling and pain of the lining of the colon, called ulcerative colitis, since these processes prevent the absorption of iron or folic acid, when taken by oral route.
