A great home remedy for laryngitis is apple syrup with carrot and ginger as it has anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties that will contribute to the fight against inflammation in this region.
Ingredients
- 1 small apple grated
- 1 small carrot grated
- 1 piece of about 2 cm ginger
- 1 cups water
- 1 cup honey
Method of preparation
Put all the ingredients except the honey in a pan and simmer for about 20 minutes, over low heat, stirring constantly. Wait for it to cool, strain well using a fine colander and then add the honey to the liquid part. Take 4 tablespoons of this homemade syrup daily during the laryngitis crisis.
Other useful tips are to save the voice, prefer easy swallowing foods like soups, purees and porridges and drink plenty of water at room temperature, avoiding the consumption of greasy, hot or cold foods.
