ZMapp is a medicine to treat Ebola that can be used to treat the disease to eliminate the virus from the body, speeding up the recovery of the infected patient.
ZMapp is produced by MApp Biopharmaceutical Laboratories in partnership with public agencies in Canada and the United States and contains three types of antibodies developed in the tobacco plant that, when inserted into the patient's blood, are capable of preventing the development of the disease and eliminating the virus.
