Since there is no specific treatment for neurofibromatosis, it is recommended that at least every year the patient perform several tests, such as a skin examination, a vision test, a bone examination, an examination to evaluate the development and the skills such as reading, writing or comprehension; to control the disease, assess its progression and initiate treatment if necessary.
