The 1 year old baby is a child with lots of energy and enthusiasm who learns through curiosity, imitation and exploration of the environment. The more she is stimulated to speak, to move and to discover, the greater the development of her brain and the coordination of her movements.
The 1 year old baby is usually able to:
- Walking sideways, holding on to the furniture and sofa;
- Introduce objects into others;
- Stacking buckets;
- Understand simple phrases;
- Speak little phrases, such as "Mom what water";
- Imitate the sounds of animals;
- Start wanting to eat alone;
- He does not like going to bed;
- Crawl and walk around the house;
- Get down to pick up a toy or object without falling;
- Identify parts of the body and say their names;
- Clapping hands, making gestures to say goodbye, for example;
- Scribble and draw;
- Scroll books or magazines without tearing.
The 1-year-old understands what they say to him, but he does not always obey and wants everything for himself, crying and making a tantrum when he hears a no.
It is at this age that the baby learns to talk to the people who talk to him, repeating what he hears, so it is very important for the parents to speak the words correctly with the baby.
