This medicine is a corticosteroid that has anti-inflammatory action and can be found in the form of drops, syrup, tablet or injection and can be indicated for people of all ages, including babies. Its effect begins after 30 minutes of its use.
How to use
Celestone tablets can be ingested with a little water as follows:
- Adults: The dose may be 0.25 to 8 mg per day, with the maximum daily dose being 8mg
- Children: The dose may range from 0.017 to 0.25 mg / kg / wt per day. The maximum dose of a 20 kg child is 5 mg / day, for example.
Before finishing celestone treatment, the doctor may deduct the daily dose or indicate a maintenance dose that should be taken as soon as you wake up.

Main side effects

Prolonged use may cause cataracts and glaucoma with possible damage to the optic nerve.
Who should not take
Celestone should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding because it passes through the milk. It should also not be used if you are allergic to betamethasone, other corticosteroids, or any component of the formula, if you have fungal blood infection.
